Planning a wedding can be very hectic to say the least. Often Brides envision walking down the isle in your killer white dress and seeing the man of your life standing at the end of the isle teary eyed , and then the Big Kiss; not realizing what it takes to get you there.
Because we are BFF I will tell you, your family and your friends are going to increase they’re phone calls and give their input on how to plan your wedding day. Your Mother will say “don’t forget about your cousin Pete”, (yeah cousin Pete the one that ate his boogers until he was twelve and also save room for her friends from work) …and that’s only the day after you announced that you were planning the get married.
Take a deep breath, they mean well. I hear this all the time from Brides, one thing that you may want to do is, “Get Help”. No matter how smart and organized you are there are a lot of details that are involved and usually unless you can devote 50 hours a week to research and planning you are going to get stressed out. Even if you have Wedding Planner the details can make your eyes swim.
I have some tips that I think would help and may prevent you from “Clocking” on someone.
- If your not a religious person you can still pray it’s no time like the present time to call on Jesus …. or if you would like meditate and reflect, it really could save a lot of heart ache for you or someone else…lol
- Eat well, because you will be busy running from one appointment to another you will be tempted to pick up anything to eat, but don’t, choose healthy alternatives such as fruit or a salad, you could even pack a snack or keep it in your car so it will be their when you need it.
- Treat yourself , get a manicure and pedicure, “it works for me”
- Pick up the latest glossy such as Vogue or Elle and a good wine and read and sip until your heart is content.
- Exercise, I know you don’t want to heat it but it is a proven fact that exercise or even a long walk can relieve stress.
These are my suggestions but do what ever makes you happy, whatever you do stay a lady.
